Villa Khaya occupies an elevated position in Nusa Dua with ocean views that make the infinity pool feel like it drops straight into the sea. This is the Bukit Peninsula’s more polished side — quieter, greener, and more resort-like than the surfer cliffs of Balangan or Uluwatu — and Khaya fits the setting perfectly. It is a beautifully finished property with high wooden ceilings, stone bathtubs, and the kind of detail that suggests someone cared about how the place feels, not just how it looks in photos.
The open-plan living area on the main level has a generous lounge, dining space, and kitchen with high ceilings and warm timber interiors. Two bedrooms sit on the lower level, each with stone bathtubs and outdoor showers — a feature we always appreciate in Bali. Upstairs, two more bedrooms are tucked under charming wooden ceilings with quality furnishings. The villa is marketed as three bedrooms at this price point, but actually has four rooms in total, so ask about the fourth if you need extra space.
Why We Recommend Villa Khaya
The combination of ocean views, an infinity pool, and this level of finishing at $368 per night makes Villa Khaya one of the better value properties we have seen on the Bukit Peninsula. The floating breakfast in the infinity pool is a genuine highlight — it has become almost expected at Bali villas now, but with this view behind it, the experience actually delivers. Staff are on hand daily for housekeeping, meal preparation (including barbecues), and in-house massage treatments. Pandawa and Melasti beaches are a short drive away, and both are stunning.
Our Favourite Features
- The infinity pool with ocean views is the centrepiece — floating breakfast here is worth waking up early for
- Stone bathtubs and outdoor showers in the lower bedrooms add genuine luxury
- High timber ceilings and warm wooden interiors throughout give the villa real character
- Four bedrooms at a three-bedroom price — ask about using the extra room for additional guests or as a dedicated kids’ room
- Close to Pandawa and Melasti beaches, two of the most beautiful on the island
Good To Know
- Nusa Dua is a quieter, more upmarket area — if you want nightlife and beach bars, Seminyak is about 40 minutes north
- The villa is set on a hillside, so there are stairs between levels. Worth considering if anyone in your group has mobility issues
- Meal preparation and barbecues can be arranged through the staff (you cover grocery costs) — the convenience is worth it
- In-house massage is available and surprisingly affordable — book it at least once during your stay
For an ocean-view Nusa Dua villa with an infinity pool, stone bathtubs, and polished timber interiors at an accessible price, Villa Khaya punches well above its weight.
