The Uma is located in a quiet rural setting on the outskirts of Babakan, a small Balinese village near the south west coast. Babakan is part of the Canggu suburbs and is surrounded by rice fields where guests can experience the traditional Balinese way of life whilst enjoying the views of the Uma; the Balinese name for a rice paddy.
The villas location enables guests to access all the popular restaurants, shops, bars, cafes and the beaches in Canggu very easily. Seminyak, with its famous beach clubs and boutiques, is a little further south down the coast.
The Uma is built on a 1000 square meter plot, with a beautiful 13 metre long swimming pool. The pool is ideal for swimming laps and has a shallow area off to one side where small children can splash around. The walled garden ensures full privacy.
This property is very spacious; the fully equipped kitchen flows into the dining and lounge area and out onto the verandah where guests enjoy beautiful views over the rice fields. In the evening you can often hear soft music floating by from the village temple on the distant side of the fields.
The Uma offers three spacious bedrooms with air-conditioning and private en suite bathrooms. From the secluded terrace on the second floor guests can enjoy a beautiful sunset or take in sunrise looking out over the rice paddies. The villa has two bicycles for guests use and is serviced with housekeeper, butler and security.
