About This Villa

Why We Recommend Villa Finity A

Gang Drupadi runs off the Berawa main road and ends in a short row of new houses. Villa Finity A is one of a matched pair, sharing a wall with its sister and giving the street nothing but a door. Inside, the plot has been turned outward rather than upward: a long pool fills almost the whole courtyard, edged on one side by a strip of pale stone wide enough for two loungers and on the other by a raised trough where a line of column cacti stands against a bare white wall. Above it the house climbs in two storeys of black-framed glass, and the entire ground floor is on show from the water.

That ground floor is one tall room, double height, with polished concrete underfoot and a raffia fringe hanging from the ceiling in a pendant roughly the size of a small tree. A low white modular sofa faces a screen set on a rendered plinth with a timber shelf running beneath it, and a round table sits on a jute rug between them. The far end belongs to the kitchen, which is a serious one: solid timber joinery floor to ceiling, a concrete-topped island with three bar stools, an oven, a full cooktop, wine glasses and a baking sheet. A white staircase folds up the side wall, and the glass slides back until the pool is simply part of the room.

Upstairs the one bedroom takes the full width of the house. Timber floors, a channel-tufted headboard set between slim timber panels, a desk and chair at the window, and a black-framed glass wall that opens over the void above the pool, so the first thing you see in the morning is water. A tall arched mirror leans against one wall; blackout blinds and a mosquito net deal with the rest. Through a door there is a walk-in wardrobe with a bench and a hanging rail, and the bathroom is finished in pale terrazzo — a long trough basin under a mirrored wall, brass tapware, and a walk-in shower lit by a slot window near the ceiling.

Two things shape how a stay here actually works. There is no car parking, only room for a scooter at the door, so most guests take a driver for the airport run and hire bikes for everything else, and the concierge arranges both. And the villa does its own washing: a machine and a dryer sit behind a timber door off the kitchen, which is rare in a one-bedroom and saves sending anything out. Staff come daily to clean, the Wi-Fi has been speed-tested at eighty-two megabits with a desk upstairs to use it at, and breakfast, a massage between the two loungers or a table booked down the lane are each a message away.

Villa Finity A reads as a house built for two people who want a real kitchen, a long pool and Berawa’s cafes within a few minutes’ ride. Marisqueira is fifty metres up the lane, Batu Belig and Berawa beaches a little over two kilometres, and the rest of Canggu is close enough to reach before the traffic wakes up.
