Villa Lisabella
Why We Recommend Villa Lisabella
Villa Lisabella occupies a quiet lane in Seminyak’s Bidadari neighbourhood — a residential pocket favoured by long-term expatriates where the streets are calm but the best of Seminyak is genuinely walkable. Bintang Supermarket is 250 metres away for daily essentials, Eat Street (Jalan Laksmana) is roughly a ten-minute stroll for evening dining, and Double Six Beach is about a kilometre on foot. It is the kind of location that rewards guests who prefer to explore on foot or by scooter rather than relying on taxis, and the gang (laneway) setting means it stays surprisingly quiet at night despite being in the thick of Seminyak.
The villa itself is a 250-square-metre property spread across two floors, with a design that leans into a bohemian-tropical aesthetic rather than the stark minimalism common in newer Seminyak builds. Terracotta roof tiles, wooden furnishings, and a curated boho-chic interior give the spaces warmth and personality. The open-plan ground floor connects a comfortable lounge with Smart TV to a fully equipped kitchen — complete with coffee maker, rice cooker, microwave, and a proper fridge-freezer — and a dining area that seats eight. Large glass doors fold open from the living area onto the pool deck, blurring the line between indoors and garden in the way that makes tropical living work.
Outside, the 150-square-metre garden is lush with tropical planting, shaded by mature trees, and centred on a private swimming pool with a shallow step-in entry that suits younger children. Wooden decking, sun loungers, and beanbag seating surround the pool, and the villa can arrange a pool fence on request for families who need it. Three of the four bedrooms sit on the ground floor — one overlooking the pool — while a fourth occupies the upper level. All four are en-suite with air conditioning. Three have king beds and the fourth is a twin room, and crucially the twin interconnects with an adjacent king bedroom, allowing parents to keep younger children close while maintaining separate sleeping spaces. The rooms are bright and airy, with large windows, natural light, and that same relaxed wooden-and-rattan character found throughout the villa.
Staff are a genuine strength here. A villa manager, daily housekeeper, and pool-and-garden team look after the property, and guests on review platforms consistently single out the housekeeper by name — praising her cooking (daily breakfast is included in the rate), her responsiveness, and the warmth she brings to a stay. An airport pickup is included in the booking, covering the seven-kilometre transfer from Ngurah Rai. From the villa, Seminyak’s top dining — Sisterfields for brunch, Revolver for coffee, Barbacoa for grilled meats — is within easy walking distance, and beach clubs like Potato Head and KU DE TA are a short ride away.
Villa Lisabella is one of those Seminyak finds that works because it balances location, character, and value. The bohemian design gives it a warmth that most modern rental villas lack, the staff are genuinely excellent, and the walking-distance access to Eat Street and the beach means you can leave the villa without needing a driver for most outings.
