Why We Recommend Villa Celeste
Villa Celeste is a romantic three-bedroom retreat nestled in a quiet gang in Seminyak — just 800 metres from the beach and a short walk from some of Bali’s best restaurants and boutiques. Low season rates start from US$270 per night, working out to US$90 per bedroom — strong value for a fully staffed private villa with a pool in one of Bali’s most popular neighbourhoods.
The design is rustic-modern Balinese, with natural stone, weathered wood, and open-air living that blends effortlessly into a lush tropical garden. All three bedrooms feature beautiful canopy beds with fine mosquito nets, giving each room a romantic, almost storybook quality. The open-plan living and dining pavilion looks directly onto the pool, and there is a separate bale (Balinese gazebo) perfect for afternoon naps or morning yoga.
Daily housekeeping, a gardener, and pool maintenance are included. A private chef can be arranged on request (groceries at cost), and the villa’s long-serving staff member Ketut is frequently praised by guests for making visitors feel genuinely welcome. The villa is located down a narrow gang — cars drop off about 80 metres from the entrance — which keeps the property quiet and secluded despite its central Seminyak location.
Our Favourite Features
- Canopy beds in every room — all three bedrooms have handcrafted canopy beds with sheer drapes. Combined with the natural stone and timber interiors, these give the villa a romantic, boutique-hotel atmosphere that photographs beautifully.
- 800 metres to the beach — Seminyak Beach and its famous sunset strip are a 10-minute walk away. Ku De Ta, Potato Head, and La Lucciola are all within easy reach on foot.
- Tropical garden setting — the grounds are genuinely lush with mature frangipani, palms, and tropical plants. The private pool is surrounded by greenery, creating an intimate garden oasis feel that many modern villas lack.
- Quiet lane, central location — the narrow gang access means no through traffic and a peaceful atmosphere. Yet you are minutes from Jalan Kayu Aya and Seminyak’s main dining and shopping strip.
- Staff member Ketut — consistently mentioned in guest reviews as warm, helpful, and attentive. Long-serving staff who know the villa and the neighbourhood make a real difference to the guest experience.
Good To Know
- Narrow gang access — cars cannot drive right to the front door. There is a drop-off point about 80 metres from the villa entrance. Staff will help with luggage. This is common for traditional Seminyak villas and contributes to the quiet, secluded atmosphere.
- Chef available on request, not included — unlike some Seminyak villas, the chef is not part of the base rate. Groceries are charged at cost plus a cooking fee. The villa has a full kitchen if you prefer to self-cater or order delivery.
- Pool fence available for families — a removable pool fence can be set up for young children. Baby cots are also available on request. The garden is enclosed and secure.
- 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms — each bedroom has its own en-suite with rain shower. The master bathroom also has a bathtub. All bathrooms are semi-open air in traditional Balinese style.
- Check-in from 2pm, checkout by 12pm — early check-in or late checkout can sometimes be arranged depending on bookings. Airport transfer is not included but can be arranged through the villa.
