Villa Alina Flora

Villa Alina Flora is not one villa but two — identical four-bedroom homes, Villa Alina and Villa Floramare, set side by side on the hillside above Maenam on Koh Samui’s northern coast. Together they sleep up to sixteen across eight en-suite bedrooms, with two infinity pools, two jacuzzis, two Western kitchens and two living areas. The dual-villa format is the real draw: two families or friend groups share a holiday without sharing a bathroom queue, a kitchen or a television remote, then come together at the pool whenever they please.

The setting is elevated and private, high enough on the Maenam hillside to command a panoramic sweep of the Gulf of Thailand — Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and the limestone peaks of Angthong all visible from both pool decks on a clear day, the sky dropping behind the islands at sunset as the water turns amber. The trade-off is that this is hilltop, not beachfront: Maenam Beach is a five-minute drive down the hill, which suits groups who prize privacy and panorama over sand underfoot. Maenam village is among Samui’s quietest corners, with a Thursday walking-street market, seafood restaurants along the shore road, Santiburi Golf Club thirteen minutes away and Fisherman’s Village under ten.

Each villa rises over two levels: two masters upstairs with ocean-view balconies and rain-shower en-suites, a third en-suite twin with a sea view, and a fourth bedroom downstairs with a soaking tub for those who would rather not climb. Interiors are light and contemporary, glass doors folding back to the pool terraces, Chiang Mai wooden artwork warming the rooms, and teak tables seating eight per villa. A resident housekeeper and chef prepare breakfast and lunch daily for food cost plus a service charge, a manager fluent in English, French, German and Chinese is on call throughout, and complimentary airport transfers both ways are a genuine rarity at this scale.
