Why We Recommend Jasmine Waterslide
If you’ve ever dreamed of a villa holiday where the kids are so entertained they forget their screens exist, Jasmine Waterslide delivers exactly that — and then some. This striking 5-bedroom seaview retreat in Koh Samui’s Chaweng-Choeng Mon area is built around one jaw-dropping centrepiece: a 25-metre waterslide that cascades from the upper terrace straight into an infinity-edge pool overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. At $150–$300 per bedroom per night (depending on season), it’s genuinely hard to find a property anywhere in Southeast Asia that packs this much entertainment value into a single booking. Beyond the headline attraction, there’s a dedicated movie room, a pool table, a poker table, a kids’ playroom, and a full bar area — enough to keep a multi-generational group of 10+ happily occupied for a full week without ever leaving the grounds. Full-time staff including a breakfast and lunch chef, plus a multilingual guest manager fluent in English, French, Thai and Chinese, round out what feels less like a villa rental and more like a private boutique resort.
Our Favourite Features
- The 25-metre waterslide — Not a gimmick. This is a proper, thrilling slide that launches from the top level of the property and drops riders into the infinity pool below. Adults love it just as much as the children, and it’s the single feature that makes this villa genuinely one-of-a-kind on Koh Samui.
- Infinity pool with ocean panorama — The pool sits on a hillside perch with unobstructed views across the Gulf of Thailand. Sunset drinks here are worth the trip alone.
- Dedicated entertainment wing — A movie room with surround sound, a full-size pool table, a poker table, and a kids’ playroom mean rainy afternoons are never a problem.
- All-inclusive staffing — Full-time housekeeping, a breakfast and lunch chef, airport transfers, and a 5-star concierge service are all included in the nightly rate. You genuinely don’t need to organise anything yourself.
- Five ensuite bedrooms — Every bedroom has its own private bathroom, so there’s no early-morning queue. The master suite has direct pool terrace access and sweeping sea views.
Good To Know
- Dinner chef costs extra — Breakfast and lunch are included, but if you want the chef to prepare dinner it’s an additional 1,000 THB (roughly $30). Most guests find this well worth it rather than heading out to restaurants every evening.
- Hillside location — The villa is perched on a hill for those spectacular views, which means the property is spread across multiple levels with steps between areas. It’s not ideal for guests with limited mobility, but perfectly manageable for families with children.
- 10% service charge applies — The quoted nightly rate is subject to a 10% service charge, so factor that into your budget. There’s no government tax on top.
- Security deposit of $500 — A refundable $500 security deposit is collected on arrival. It’s returned at checkout provided nothing is damaged.
- Chaweng is 5 minutes away — The villa is close enough to Chaweng’s restaurants, nightlife and shopping to pop out easily, but far enough up the hill that you won’t hear the noise at night. The beach is roughly 500 metres away.
