Villa Wonderland is a design-led four-bedroom retreat in Babakan, the quieter residential side of Canggu, where a converted warehouse loft aesthetic meets one of the last uninterrupted rice field panoramas in the area. Built across 400 square metres of living space on a 700-square-metre plot, the property was designed by Triloka with interiors by Emmanuelle Flahault, and the result is a villa that feels more like a curated gallery than a holiday rental. Two-storey floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living space dissolve the boundary between indoors and out, framing the emerald rice paddies that stretch from the private garden to the horizon. With its east-west orientation, the villa captures a daily sunset spectacle over the fields that is genuinely difficult to find elsewhere in modern Canggu.

White marble herringbone and polished concrete floors run throughout, complemented by geometrical feature walls and carefully placed colour accents that give each space its own character. The open-plan ground floor houses a generous living and dining area alongside a fully equipped contemporary kitchen, while a mezzanine lounge above offers a quieter vantage point with elevated views over the pool deck and rice fields beyond. All four bedrooms are en-suite, accommodating up to eleven guests, and the layout provides enough separation between sleeping quarters and communal spaces for families or groups travelling together to find their own rhythm. Outside, a 10-metre by 3.5-metre infinity pool sits against that remarkable rice field backdrop, with a fire pit nearby for evenings spent under the stars.

Full villa staffing ensures daily housekeeping, landscaping, and pool maintenance are handled without interruption, while the Babakan location places guests within easy reach of Canggu’s world-class dining and surf scene. Ximor Cafe is an 850-metre walk, Crate Cafe on Jalan Raya Babakan is a short drive, and Echo Beach and Old Man’s are under four kilometres away. The villa sits close enough to the action to make spontaneous dinner plans effortless, yet far enough from the busier strips that the only sound at breakfast is birdsong drifting across the paddies.
