Villa Anjungan
Why We Recommend Villa Anjungan
Villa Anjungan sits high on the Pecatu headland facing open Indian Ocean, and it is built at a scale the Bukit rarely offers. A long pool runs out towards the horizon across a wide lawn, with the two-storey house behind it — white colonial lines, deep verandahs, a grey pitched roof and a thatched bale at the water’s edge. From the terrace there is nothing between you and the sea but treetops.
Inside there are two separate living rooms, which is what makes a house this size work for a group: one can be loud while the other stays quiet. Patterned cement tile runs underfoot, arched timber mirrors hang above stone basins, and the kitchen is a full working room rather than a token island. Alfresco dining spots are scattered across the grounds, so lunch, sundowners and dinner each get their own place.
Five bedrooms are arranged for privacy, most with four-poster beds, bold monochrome artwork and their own bathroom. The grounds hold a full sports court — genuinely unusual in a Bali villa, and the thing groups end up using most. Savaya is three minutes away and the Uluwatu cliff beaches are a short drive, but the villa is set far enough back that none of the noise reaches it.
