Villa Bold x Gold
Why We Recommend Villa Bold x Gold
Most Bali villas go pale. Bold x Gold goes the other way entirely — charcoal walls, dark stone floors, black-framed glazing and deep sculpted feature panels running behind the beds. It is a genuinely dramatic piece of architecture, and at night, lit low and warm against the black, it looks less like a rental and more like somewhere a film was shot.
The pool matches the mood: a lagoon-shaped stretch of water with a curved sunken seating pit built into one side, so you can sit half-submerged with a drink while the sky goes orange over the Bukit. Around it, the villa opens up completely — a raised living pavilion with a long low sofa, a solid timber dining table under brass pendants, and a dark kitchen that runs the length of one wall.
Three bedrooms continue the theme, each with a sculpted textured wall behind the bed, blackout curtains and its own bathroom finished in dark stone. One has a freestanding black tub set against a stone wall; the others take twin vanities and walk-in rain showers. Uluwatu’s cliff bars, surf breaks and beach clubs are all within a short drive.
