Villa Ini

Villa Ini is a contemporary beachfront villa at Wadduwa, about an hour south of Colombo on Sri Lanka’s west coast, close to the old town of Panadura. Palms line the soft, wide beach, which is barely ten metres from the garden, and the house is designed so that every room faces the sea. It is one of a pair of villas on the same plot, and it suits families and friends who want calm, modern comfort right on the shore.

A terraced garden of tiered, manicured lawns steps down from the house towards the beach, with loungers under pergolas and plenty of room for children to run about. The private pool sits in one corner of the lawn facing the ocean, with a shallow section where little ones can splash or learn to swim, and an outdoor dining space beside it for meals in the sea breeze. The property is fenced for peace of mind.

Inside, the fully air-conditioned living room opens through floor-to-ceiling glass doors onto the terrace, garden and pool, and a formal dining room with an eight-seat table sits beside a modern kitchen. One bedroom is on the ground floor and the rest are upstairs with private balconies over the sea, and all four have large beds facing the view, desks, TVs, wardrobes and en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs. Daily housekeeping is included along with breakfast, and a chef can be arranged.
