Aryan Beach Villa

Aryan Beach Villa stands right on the beach at Wadduwa, on Sri Lanka’s west coast south of Colombo, where a long, quiet stretch of sand runs away in both directions and the nearest hotels are a good walk along the shore. It is a bright, spacious two-storey house of white walls and big glass doors, with sea views from the upper floor, and it suits families and groups of friends who want privacy, a pool and a caring team close at hand.

Outside, a private pool of around 10.6 by 4.2 metres sits in a manicured garden, ringed with sun loungers and big white umbrellas, and the beach is only a few steps beyond. A timber pergola shelters a covered outdoor lounge and dining terrace beside the pool, a favourite spot for long lunches and evening drinks, and the sunsets over the Indian Ocean are spectacular from the garden.

Indoors, an open-plan living room looks out over the pool and garden, with a separate family room for films and quiet time, and a ten-seat dining table for meals together. All four bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling glass doors, air conditioning, generous wardrobes and en-suite bathrooms, and some open onto private balconies facing the sea. Breakfast is included, and the resident team can cook lunch and dinner from a menu and arrange excursions.
