Katoni Villa
Why We Recommend Katoni Villa
Mornings at Katoni Villa start with the tide: from the pool deck you look straight out over the shallow lagoon between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, where seaweed farmers wade out to tend their plots and small boats rock at anchor. The villa sits right above its own little white-sand cove at the quieter southern end of the island, with a few steps down to the water so you can walk from the garden into the sea.
The setting is matched by a nineteen-metre infinity pool, long enough for proper lengths yet shallow enough for children to play, lined with striped sunbeds and bright yellow umbrellas. Around it the garden unfolds into a series of places to settle: a thatched pergola with built-in daybeds for long lunches, a shaded table under a leafy tree at the water’s edge, a timber deck for massage and yoga, and a sunken fire pit lounge right above the bay for evenings under the stars. Inside, the open-plan living room and kitchen mix whitewashed walls, dark timber floors and sunny yellow cushions.
Three of the four bedrooms have king beds draped in mosquito nets, ocean views and their own en-suite bathrooms finished in stone and wood, one with a deep soaking tub. A small on-site team keeps the house immaculate and can serve breakfast in the garden, cook lunch or dinner, and organise snorkelling trips and island taxis. Local warungs are a short walk away, and the livelier restaurants of Jungutbatu are about ten minutes by car.
