Rawayana West Three Bedroom Villa is a relaxed, family-sized pool home within the Rawayana development in Rawai, on Phuket’s quiet southern coast. Behind its garden walls the whole house turns inward to a private pool, with tropical planting, a shaded gazebo and loungers soaking up the sun. It is a simple, easy-going base for parents with young children, and the lively Rawai seafront, where longtail boats leave for the islands, is a short stroll away.

The single-storey villa wraps around the eight-metre pool, so the water is never more than a few steps from the living room or bedrooms. Inside, warm timber, a high pitched ceiling and big sliding doors give the open living and dining area a bright, airy feel, with comfortable sofas and a long dining table. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an oven, microwave and toaster, and a washing machine makes longer stays easy.

Each of the three bedrooms has a king bed, air conditioning and its own bathroom, and the master looks straight onto the pool. The bedrooms open directly onto the pool terrace rather than an internal corridor, which gives everyone privacy but means little ones need watching. Families also have access to a shared children’s park, with a splash pool and slides and an indoor soft-play area. Nai Harn beach and the sunset point at Promthep Cape are a short drive away.
