Siritarar Residence

Siritarar Residence sits right on the sand at Lipa Noi, on the quiet west coast of Koh Samui, where the water is calm and shallow and the evenings end in long, golden sunsets. The name means “auspicious star”, and the house lives up to it: a cluster of Southern Thai pavilions under dark tiled roofs, with carved teak doors, louvred windows and arched French doors opening onto tropical gardens. It feels unhurried and personal, a world away from the busier east coast.

Life here revolves around a fourteen-metre pool that runs past the main pavilion towards the beach, lined with loungers and big black parasols. Beyond the lawn, kayaks wait on the sand and a rope swing hangs from a beachside tree, perfect for watching the sun drop behind the islands. Inside, the living pavilion has a soaring vaulted ceiling, exposed timber beams and deep grey sofas, with a long wooden dining table and a bright, fully equipped kitchen alongside. A teak-lined study nook and a shaded brick courtyard give everyone somewhere quiet to retreat to.

Six bedrooms are spread across the pavilions, and the villa can also be booked with three, four or five bedrooms for smaller groups. The guest rooms have twin beds that can be joined as kings, warm timber floors and tall windows onto the garden, while one bathroom has a freestanding tub beneath a skylight. A chef, villa manager, housekeeping and security look after the house, breakfast is included, and there is gym equipment, a yoga space and table tennis for active days.
