Sky Villa Penthouse

Sky Villa Penthouse is a 430-square-metre, two-bedroom retreat on the top floor of a beachfront resort on the Khao Lak coast, around an hour north of Phuket airport, looking straight out over a palm-fringed sunset beach and the Andaman Sea. It has its own lift entrance for privacy and full use of the resort around it, which makes it a wonderful choice for couples travelling together, a small family or anyone who wants the space of a private villa with hotel service on call.

The terrace is the real draw, with a private seventeen-and-a-half-metre infinity pool running along the edge and seeming to spill into the sea below. A sky deck laid with lawn holds wooden recliners and big cushioned loungers for watching the sun go down, and a traditional sala adds a shaded spot for lunch or a drink at dusk, with sweeping views of the coast and the green hills inland.

Inside, full-length glass walls bring the sea into every room, from the air-conditioned living room with its deep U-shaped sofa to the glass-enclosed dining pavilion with a six-seat wooden table. There is a private bar with a marble counter, an espresso machine and daily fresh juice. Both bedrooms open onto the pool and deck and have two single beds that can be joined as a king, smart TVs and en-suite bathrooms with spa tubs, and daily breakfast is served in the villa.
