Trisara Signature Villa 39 is tucked into tall rainforest on the Trisara estate, above the quiet north-west coast of Phuket near Nai Thon Beach. Old trees crowd around the house, birdsong fills the mornings, and through gaps in the canopy the Andaman Sea shows as a blue line on the horizon. It feels secluded and restful, a lovely choice for a family or two couples who want peace, shade and greenery rather than nightlife on the doorstep.

Outside, a turquoise infinity pool runs along a broad timber deck, its edge falling away towards the forest and the sea, with a pitched Thai sala reflected in the water. Loungers sit beneath big umbrellas, and a shaded terrace with a long teak table is the place for breakfast with a sea glimpse through the trees. Inside, a vaulted timber ceiling crowns the living room, where white sofas and soft blue accents keep things cool and calm, with a bright dining room and a fully equipped kitchen alongside.

The three bedrooms are spacious and air-conditioned, with warm wooden ceilings, shuttered windows onto the garden and bathrobes waiting in the wardrobe. There are four bathrooms in all, several with deep soaking tubs and twin stone basins. A cook and housekeeper look after the villa, breakfast is included each day, and lunch and dinner can be prepared on request.
