Villa Baan Capo

Villa Baan Capo sits right on the sand at the western end of Bangrak Beach, on Koh Samui’s calm north coast, with nothing between the pool deck and the sea but a few palms. Steep Thai-style roofs with dark timber gables crown a cluster of pavilions set in a lush tropical garden, while the interiors are fresh and contemporary: white sofas, soaring timber ceilings, walls of sliding glass and playful touches of colour. Wake to the sound of the water, wander down for a swim in the sea, and you have the whole bay to yourself first thing.

The seventeen-metre infinity pool runs along the beachfront, lined with sunbeds and big white umbrellas, and seems to spill straight into the bay. Shaded lounges sit tucked into the garden beside the water, kayaks are on hand for paddling along the shore, and at dusk the sky over the sea turns pink and lilac while the pool and pavilions glow with soft light. The open living room faces the beach through full-height glass, with a long dining table just steps from the sand and a sleek, fully equipped kitchen behind.

The two oceanfront master suites have four-poster king beds and glass walls that open straight towards the sea, and the garden suite building holds two twin rooms, ideal for children or friends. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, with deep tubs, rain showers and double basins. Breakfast is included, a dedicated villa team looks after the house and can cook lunch and dinner, and return airport transfers are part of the stay. Big Buddha, Plai Laem, Bophut’s Fisherman’s Village and Chaweng are all a short drive away.
