Villa Baan Paradise Patong

Villa Baan Paradise Patong is a two-storey Thai-style home high on the hillside above Patong Bay, under steep tiled roofs with a sweeping, near-panoramic view of the bay, the green headlands and the open Andaman Sea. From the pool deck you can watch boats crossing the water by day and the lights of the town flicker on at dusk, while Patong’s beach, cafés, restaurants and markets are just a short ride down the hill. With five bedrooms and plenty of room to spread out, it is a natural fit for two or three families travelling together.

The fourteen-metre infinity pool runs the full length of the house, its blue-tiled edge lined with cushioned sun loungers and spa jets built in for a lazy back massage while you take in the view. Beside it, a shaded terrace holds a long outdoor dining table looking straight out over the bay. Inside, the main living room rises to a high ceiling, with glass doors folding back onto the pool, deep sofas, gleaming wooden floors and an eight-seat dining table next to a fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs, a second lounge with a big L-shaped sofa and a sixty-inch TV with video games sits beside a full-size billiard table, ready for rainy afternoons and movie nights.

All five bedrooms have polished wood floors, air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs, and four of them look out to sea. The top-floor master opens onto a large private balcony with sofas overlooking the pool, and its bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. Three more king bedrooms enjoy sea or garden views, while the lower-level family room, with a double and a single bed, sits next to the media lounge. Housekeepers, a gardener and 24-hour security look after the villa, and meals, massage and a car with driver can all be arranged.
