Villa Bellini Blue

Villa Bellini Blue is a two-bedroom beachfront villa on Sri Lanka’s south coast near Galle, where a garden of lawn and coconut palms runs straight down to golden sand and the Indian Ocean. Its scale is intimate and its style is bright and breezy, all white walls and ocean-blue accents, which makes it a natural fit for couples, two friends sharing, or a small family who want the sea on their doorstep and Galle Fort a short drive away.

Life here centres on the shaded veranda, where an outdoor lounge and a long dining table look across a generous private pool with stone steps into the water and, beyond it, the sea. Sun loungers and umbrellas are set out on the lawn, the lawn leads straight onto the beach, and a short stroll along the shore brings you to a reef-protected lagoon that is much better suited to swimming.

Indoors, an open-plan living room, dining area and kitchen with a breakfast bar are cooled by air conditioning and dressed in white and blue with traditional South Asian touches. The master suite is upstairs, with a four-poster king bed, a sofa seating area and its own terrace looking out to sea, while the second bedroom has a queen bed and opens onto the garden. Both are air-conditioned and en-suite, and a dedicated team provides daily housekeeping, round-the-clock security and a private chef, with breakfast included.
