Villa Michelle

On a quiet, leafy street in Kerobokan, just a couple of minutes’ drive from the restaurants of Petitenget, Villa Michelle is a bright, breezy two-bedroom hideaway that makes the most of both worlds. Days begin with a swim in the private pool and end with dinner at some of Seminyak’s best-loved tables, while the walled tropical garden keeps everything calm and private in between.

Inside, the open-plan living space is crisp and contemporary, with white sofas, a TV for film nights, colourful abstract art and a dining table for four beside a fully equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms are a matched pair, each with a king bed, air-conditioning, a TV and large sliding doors opening onto the garden or pool deck, so both couples get an equally good room. The en-suite bathrooms have generous rain showers, patterned tiles and big mirrors.

Outside, the eight-metre pool is edged by a timber deck with sunbeds and bean bags, and a thatched Balinese gazebo with curtains and cushions is the perfect shady spot for lunch or an afternoon nap. A friendly team, including a villa manager, daily housekeeping and security, looks after the villa, and floating breakfasts can be arranged. Batu Belig Beach and its sunsets are around ten minutes away, with the cafes of Umalas close by too.
