Villa Nedine

Villa Nedine is a breezy, modern retreat on the edge of Canggu’s rice fields, a short walk from the surf at Echo Beach. Behind tall green hedges, a long turquoise pool runs the length of a manicured lawn, and from the upper terrace there is a glimpse of the ocean beyond the treetops.

The house turns the usual layout on its head. Three guest bedrooms sit at pool level, sliding open onto the garden, while the main living space is upstairs, where frameless glass doors open to a wide terrace with views over the greenery. Deep green sofas, a projector screen for movie nights, a long timber dining table and a sleek kitchen with breakfast bar fill the open-plan floor. Back downstairs, a covered lounge beside the pool with plush sofas is the natural spot for lazy afternoons and evenings under the garden lights.

The master suite has the upper floor to itself, with timber floors, its own terrace and a freestanding bathtub, and the guest rooms have open-air bathrooms wrapped in tropical foliage. A team of five looks after the villa, with a chef, nanny and car hire available on request. Echo Beach, Pererenan and Canggu’s cafes, surf breaks and beach clubs are all close by.
