Villa Rodnaya

Villa Rodnaya is a sleek, multi-level home on the hillside above Nai Thon, within the gated Malaiwana estate, and its whole front is given over to the view: turquoise water, the long golden curve of the beach and forested headlands fading into the distance. Thai pavilion roofs in dark timber crown a crisp white façade, while inside the mood is bright and playful, with pale floors, bold splashes of colour and striking artwork. Four king bedrooms make it a comfortable choice for two families or a group of close friends.

The eighteen-metre infinity pool runs the full width of the terrace and, as the sun drops, mirrors the whole sky. Sun loungers sit along the timber deck, a sail-shaded corner offers relief at midday, and further decks with their own loungers look straight down the coast. Glass walls slide back from the living room so the sofas, the sea breeze and the pool all feel part of one space, and a long dining table ringed by scarlet chairs faces the water, with a well-equipped kitchen alongside.

Each of the four bedrooms has a king bed, its own bathroom and big windows onto the sea, and one master suite has a dramatic red four-poster bed. A media room is set up for film nights, and a playroom gives younger children a space of their own, with a safety fence around the pool for peace of mind.
