Villa Zenloft takes the look of a city loft and sets it down in a tropical garden in Berawa, a short walk from the beach. The kitchen is built for cooking properly, with a marble-topped island, black cabinetry, timber open shelving, a dishwasher, oven, microwave and blender, and a dining table for eight sits beside glass doors to the pool. Double-glazed, soundproofed windows and insulated walls keep the house quiet, and there is exercise equipment for keeping up a routine on holiday.

All four bedrooms have their own ensuite and air conditioning. One opens through a sliding glass wall directly onto the pool deck, with a rattan-fronted wardrobe beside the bed; upstairs, others sit beneath slatted timber ceilings with tall windows into the trees, a walk-in wardrobe with a safe, or a writing desk and office chair. The bathrooms pair river-stone vessel basins with veined marble counters and backlit mirrors, and there is an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. A washer and dryer, an iron, blackout blinds and ethernet round out a house that works as well for a month as for a week.

Staff keep the house in order with daily housekeeping, and a concierge team can arrange breakfast, a private cook, massages at the villa, a nanny, a pool fence, airport transfers and a car with a driver. There are children’s books, toys and board games waiting, and parking on the property. Berawa Beach is under a kilometre away, Batu Bolong about a kilometre and a half, and the shops, cafés and beach clubs of Canggu are all around. It suits families and groups of up to eight who want a design-led house with real space to cook, work and unwind.
