Akasha Berawa Garden
Why We Recommend Akasha Berawa Garden
This is the greenest of the four Akasha units. Its pool sits in a planted well rather than an open courtyard, hemmed by tall heliconia, banana and traveller’s palm that grow right to the timber deck, so the water is shaded through much of the day and the villa feels considerably more enclosed than its neighbours.
Inside runs the Akasha language: board-formed concrete, deep timber-clad ceilings and steel-framed glass sliding away along the pool. A long low sofa faces the water, a timber island with stools divides the kitchen from the dining table, and the dining table itself seats six under a run of pendants — generous for a two-bedroom villa, and useful if you cook.
Both bedrooms are en-suite with soaking tubs, one placed beside a floor-to-ceiling window that looks straight into the planting, which is the detail people remember from this unit. Terrazzo and stone run through the bathrooms with brass fittings against the concrete. Berawa Beach and the cafés are a short walk or a very short drive.
