Akasha Berawa Sunset
Why We Recommend Akasha Berawa Sunset
This is the unit in the Akasha compound that catches the last of the light. Its glazed western flank runs the full height of the living room, so late afternoon arrives as a long wash of amber across board-formed concrete and dark timber, and the pool below turns copper for the final half hour of the day.
The architecture is the draw throughout Akasha: raw concrete carrying the marks of its shuttering, deep timber-clad ceilings, and steel-framed glass that slides away entirely along the pool. Inside, a low linen sofa faces the water, a solid timber island anchors the kitchen, and everything is built rather than furnished — joinery let into the walls instead of freestanding pieces.
Both bedrooms are en-suite and both carry a deep soaking tub, one set against a run of vertical timber louvres that throw striped light across the water at midday. The plunge pool is edged with timber decking and screened by dense heliconia and banana. Berawa Beach, the beach clubs and the cafés along Jalan Pantai Berawa are all a few minutes away.
