Baan Chang

Baan Chang is the most expansive of the three villas on the Dhevatara Cove estate, and it uses that space well. Its bedrooms are scattered through the garden in their own pavilions, linked by paths across clipped lawns, so a family of grandparents, parents and teenagers can share a holiday without sharing walls. Upstairs, the master suite has its own hillside sala, a private perch for morning coffee with the whole bay laid out below.

Down at sea level, a long infinity pool with a shallow end for children runs beside the timber deck, lined with sunbeds, parasols and daybeds. The living room opens through full-height sliding glass doors, and the open kitchen has a breakfast island and bar stools beside a round dining table for twelve. Out on the beach sala, with the barbecue going and the sand a step away, a table for ten looks straight out to sea. All five bedrooms have king beds, Smart TVs and walk-in wardrobes, and four of the ensuites come with a bathtub and double vanity.

Dhevatara Cove sits at the sheltered southern end of Lipa Noi, on Samui’s calm west coast, where the sun sets over the Ang Thong islands. Kayaks are ready for paddling the bay, and the estate’s shared gym and sauna are a short stroll away. Nikki Beach Club is a few minutes along the coast, while Lamai and the airport are a scenic drive across the island.
