Bella Samui Beach Villa

Bella Samui Beach Villa sits right on the sand at Thong Krut, on the quiet south-west corner of Koh Samui, where fishing boats bob offshore and green islands rise from the calm Gulf of Thailand. The house is crisp, white and modern, wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass so the sea stays in view from almost every room, with manicured lawns and stepping-stone paths running down to the beach. It is a peaceful, unhurried place, far from the island’s busier resorts, and boats to the nearby islands leave from Thong Krut itself.

Everything revolves around the fifteen-metre infinity pool, which runs along the shoreline beneath bright blue umbrellas. Its signature is a sunken lounge set right into the water, with deep cushioned seating where you can sit waist-deep with a cold drink as the light changes over the islands. Indoors, the living room looks through a wall of glass straight into the pool, the dining area stretches out over the water on a glass floor, and the sleek kitchen has everything a chef needs. Kayaks wait on the beach, and there is a gym and a billiards table for rainy days.

Four of the five bedrooms have king beds dressed with white canopy nets and floor-to-ceiling glass facing the pool and the sea, and each has its own bathroom with a freestanding tub and rain shower. The fifth is a bright children’s room with two single beds. Breakfast is included every day, a dedicated team and a villa manager look after the house, and return airport transfers for up to two cars are part of the stay. Smaller groups can book the villa with three or four bedrooms instead.
