Nova Oasis Berawa 8 is a one-bedroom villa that makes a small footprint feel generous by building upwards. The bedroom sits on a mezzanine above the living room, open to it, so the whole interior reads as a single tall volume rather than a pair of cramped rooms — and the plunge pool below is visible from the bed.

The courtyard is the best thing about it. Curved plaster forms wrap the plunge pool, trailing plants hang down the walls above the water, and a small seated alcove is cut into the render at one end. Glass doors fold right back, so the living room and the courtyard become one space for most of the day.

Inside, a white built-in sofa runs along a wall of arched alcoves holding ceramics, with a dark timber kitchen island opposite and rattan pendants and a tall woven floor lantern for light. The bathroom is terrazzo with an arched mirror. It is one of the same Berawa cluster as its sister villas, so couples travelling with friends can take more than one — with the beach, cafés and boutiques minutes away.
