Villa Seascape

Seascape Villa sits high on the hillside above Samrong Bay, near Plai Laem on Koh Samui’s north-eastern tip, in a corner position that gives it one of the widest outlooks in the area. Below lies a curve of pale sand and turquoise water, and beyond it the sea stretches away to the silhouettes of neighbouring islands. The house is bright, airy and modern, with walls of glass that bring the water into almost every room, and it is a relaxed, easy choice for families.

Life centres on the infinity pool, which seems to spill straight into the bay from a broad stone terrace lined with sun loungers. A covered outdoor dining area sits beside it, and a built-in barbecue makes it easy to cook outside as the sky turns pink. After dark the pool glows blue against the coast, and the whole terrace becomes a place to linger long into the evening.

Inside, the open-plan living room has a big U-shaped sofa, a flat-screen TV and sliding doors to the terrace, flowing into a dining area and a sleek, fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast counter. The master bedroom has a sunken bathtub and walk-in wardrobe, a second king room has its own bathroom and TV, and the third room is set up with bunks, perfect for children.
