Sol at Secret Tides

Sol At Secret Tides is a beachfront hideaway for two on the shore at Bangrak, on Koh Samui’s north coast, where palm trees lean over a calm, glassy sea and the sand begins just beyond the lawn. It is one of a small collection of villas at Secret Tides, and it has the easy, barefoot feel of a private beach house: clean white lines, pale wood, woven textures and walls of glass that slide away to let the sea breeze through.

The long private pool is the star, stretching alongside the villa past loungers and a big parasol, with a strip of grass and palms between you and the water. Mornings start with a swim facing the sea, afternoons drift by on the sun deck, and in the evening the pool glows softly under the palms. Inside, an open-plan living room with a deep sofa and smart TV opens straight onto the pool deck, with a proper dining table and a well-equipped kitchen tucked neatly behind.

The bedroom is open and airy, with a king bed facing the pool and the sea, a vanity desk, plenty of wardrobe space and a sleek en-suite with a glass rain shower. Breakfast is included, housekeeping comes daily, and a chef can be arranged for dinners in. Fisherman’s Village and its night market are just over a kilometre away, the Bangrak piers for island trips are close by, and the airport is only a few minutes’ drive.
