Celes Beachfront Pool Suite

Celes Beachfront Pool Suite is a private hideaway for two within a boutique resort on the Bophut shore, on Koh Samui’s north coast. Its own infinity pool sits at the very edge of the sea, with nothing beyond the water but the bay, a scatter of anchored boats and the hills of the coastline in the distance. It is a beautifully simple place to slow down: a swim before breakfast, a book on the daybed and the sunset glowing through the palms.

Outside, a timber-slatted pavilion with a deep cushioned daybed shades the end of the pool, and a sun deck gives plenty of room to stretch out between dips. Tall palms and green walls of planting keep the suite private. Inside, the suite is cool and contemporary, with white walls, timber floors, a big comfortable bed, a window seat facing the water and a large smart TV, while the bathroom has a deep freestanding bathtub with a view through to the garden and the sea.

Beyond the suite, the resort adds plenty of extra ease. There are shared infinity pools lined with palms right above the beach, a well-equipped gym and a quiet library lounge, and breakfast is included every morning. Housekeeping comes daily, and Fisherman’s Village, with its cafés and seaside restaurants, is a short walk away. Boat trips to Ang Thong Marine Park leave from nearby, making this a lovely base for a couple.
