Tamarind Exclusive Villa

Tamarind Exclusive Villa is a private estate of Thai-style pavilions set in almost nine thousand square metres (over two acres) of landscaped tropical garden at Bang Saray, in the quieter Sattahip district south of Pattaya. Wooded hills rise behind the grounds, U-Tapao airport is around thirty minutes away and Suvarnabhumi roughly two hours, and Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is about twenty minutes by road. With nine bedrooms for up to twenty guests and a team of around twenty-five staff, it is one of the most complete large-group villas on the eastern seaboard.

At the centre of the estate is an eighteen-by-eight-metre pool lined with sun loungers and red parasols, looking across lawns towards the hills. A sunken lounge of deep cushioned banquettes sits above the pool, a curtained daybed sala looks out over the garden, and there is a dedicated massage sala for treatments outdoors. Beyond the pool are a floodlit full-size tennis court, a petanque court, a fitness pavilion with cardio and weights, and winding garden paths past a waterfall pond.

Each bedroom is individually styled with Thai and Asian décor, from the Zen and Java rooms to Africa, Raj and Rose, with air conditioning, TVs and en-suite bathrooms, some with bathtubs or garden showers. A family suite has its own living and dining area, and a bunk-bed dorm is perfect for children. Indoors there is a home cinema, a billiards table and table tennis, while dining tables by the pool and in an open-sided sala seat the whole group. Breakfast is included, and the kitchen team will cook lunch and dinner on request.
