The Heights Seaview C1

The Heights Seaview C1 is a relaxed, well-designed two-bedroom apartment in The Heights, a low-rise residence on the green hillside above Kata, where the Andaman Sea fills the horizon from the terrace and the living room. Warm hardwood, carved Thai screens, colourful cushions and a wall of well-thumbed books give it a lived-in, characterful feel that is very different from a standard holiday flat. It is a comfortable, easy base for a couple or a small family, with Kata Beach about one and a half kilometres away.

The terrace is where the days begin and end. Covered by a timber pergola and edged with glass, it has a dining table for six looking straight out to sea, a gas barbecue and space to linger over sunset dinners as the bay turns blue and gold. Just below, the residence’s shared infinity pool spills towards the view, with sun loungers, palms and tropical gardens all around, and there is a shared gym for anyone keeping up a routine. Indoors, a long open-plan room brings together a deep sofa, a large smart TV, a kitchen counter with high stools and a well-equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, coffee maker and toaster.

Both bedrooms have king beds, air conditioning, a TV and their own bathroom, and the main bedroom opens onto a balcony with sea views. One bathroom has a marble-clad bathtub and glass shower, the other a walk-in rain shower. Housekeeping visits three times a week, breakfast can be arranged, and a baby cot and high chair are available for younger guests.
