Villa Alore

Not one but two long swimming pools set the scene at Villa Alore, a walled garden of around 1,200 square metres in the middle of Seminyak: clipped lawns, stepping-stone paths and thatched pavilions, all private and plenty big enough to lose an afternoon in.

The layout is the clever part: the villa is made up of two three-bedroom pool homes linked by a connecting door, so a large family or two families travelling together can share the whole property while each keeps its own living space and pool. Inside, soaring alang-alang ceilings shelter airy open-plan lounges with bright sofas and Smart TVs, fully equipped kitchens and long wooden dining tables, all opening straight onto the gardens. The six bedrooms are calm and earthy, each with a four-poster canopy bed, a safe and its own bathroom, several with deep freestanding tubs.

Step outside the gate and Seminyak is at your feet. Seminyak Beach and Double Six are a short walk away, with La Lucciola, KU DE TA and La Favela all close by, plus the boutiques and cafés that make this corner of Bali so easy to love. Daily housekeeping, garden and pool care and security keep everything running smoothly in the background.
