Villa Amanecer

Villa Amanecer climbs a hillside above Bingin in a series of curved white terraces, each one softened by trailing greenery, so the first thing you notice on arrival is the view. From the living level the land falls away across the Bukit’s rooftops and palms to a wide band of sea, and a turquoise pool runs right along the edge of the terrace to meet it. Glass walls slide fully open between house and pool, an arched white wall frames the panorama, and beanbags and rattan chairs are scattered across the pale stone deck for the long, lazy hours between swims.

Inside, a sunken lounge of built-in cream sofas sits a step below the floor, turned towards the pool on one side and a glass-walled light well of palms and ferns on the other, so the room feels half indoors and half garden. The kitchen is made for cooking together: a long stone-topped island with a row of timber stools under woven pendants, warm timber cabinetry, an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker and blender. At dusk the whole level glows, the pool lights come on and the sky over the coast turns lilac and pink beyond the glass.

The three bedrooms each have their own ensuite and air conditioning, dressed in natural linen with embroidered runners, woven pendant lights and walls of rattan-panelled wardrobes. Some open through floor-to-ceiling glass onto balconies with glass balustrades and rattan chairs looking out over the hills to the sea; another faces a planted light well that fills the room with green. Bathrooms are finished in pale travertine, with walk-in showers behind frosted glass, white vessel basins and copper wall lights, and one bathroom door opens straight onto a sweeping view of the green hills below.

The rooftop is the reason to linger: a plunge pool beside a slatted-roof pavilion, built-in daybeds, timber loungers, planted beds and open sky in every direction, made for sunset drinks as Bali’s evening colours roll in. Villa staff clean daily and a concierge can arrange breakfast, a private cook, in-villa massage, airport transfers, a car and driver, a nanny or a pool fence. Bingin’s famous beach and its surf break are just minutes away by road. It suits friends and families who want a design-led base with big views close to the Bukit’s surf breaks.
