Villa Aye

Villa Aye is a grand Thai-style residence in the gated Cape Amarin estate, on the stretch of headland above Kamala known as Phuket’s Millionaire’s Mile. Steep, tiered rooftops rise over polished teak floors and soaring timber ceilings, traditional Thai art fills the rooms, and a sweeping lawn of around two and a half thousand square metres runs down to an uninterrupted view of the Andaman Sea. It feels private and peaceful, yet Kamala’s beach and restaurants are only minutes away.

The twenty-metre infinity pool sits at the edge of the lawn, lined with loungers and big white umbrellas, and seems to pour straight into the blue below. Inside, the main living pavilion opens through wide glass doors onto the terraces, and there are two places to eat: a grand dining table for fourteen under rows of silk lanterns, and a second, Japanese-style table for twelve. A media room with a large screen, a games room with a billiard table and a well-equipped gym mean there is always something to do when the sun gets too strong.

The eight bedrooms are spread across three levels, so families can settle into their own corners. Seven have king beds and one has twin beds that can be joined, and every room has its own bathroom, many with deep tubs beside windows full of tropical green and sea views. Breakfast is included each morning, other meals can be arranged, and a team of five staff takes care of housekeeping, laundry and security throughout your stay.
