Villa Bae
Why We Recommend Villa Bae
Villa Bae is the kind of Ubud hideaway where the first thing you notice is the water. A long, slender pool runs the length of the garden, its surface catching the light between banana palms and frangipani, with a timber sun deck and a sunken lounge set right beside it. Tucked into a quiet part of Ubud, it feels hidden from the world, yet daily needs and neighbourhood cafés are only a short drive away.
The house is built around glass. Floor-to-ceiling walls wrap the open-plan living and dining pavilion, so the garden and pool feel part of the room, whether you are stretched out on the deep corner sofa with a film on the smart TV or lingering over dinner at the long timber table. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, with marble counters, a sleek induction hob and everything you need for family meals, and a chef can be arranged when you would rather be cooked for.
Three king bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, give every couple or family branch real privacy, and the master bathroom has a freestanding tub beneath an open skylight. Days here drift between laps of the pool, in-villa massages and floating breakfasts, with Ubud’s rice terraces, temples, galleries and markets all within easy half-day reach. Popular spots such as Zest and the Alchemy Yoga and Meditation Center are around four to five kilometres away.
