Villa Bellagio

Rattan pendant lamps hang through a double-height void above Villa Bellagio’s sunken lounge, and from the upstairs landing you look straight down over the sofa to a long ribbon of blue pool outside. This is a crisp, contemporary three-bedroom home on a quiet lane in central Seminyak, built in white render, glass and warm timber, and sized comfortably for a family or a group of friends.

The ground floor opens through tall glass doors to a ten-and-a-half-metre pool edged by a strip of tropical planting, with loungers and a parasol at the far end. Inside, an L-shaped sofa faces a smart TV, a long timber table seats eight beneath woven lanterns, and a sleek kitchen with a white stone island makes easy work of breakfasts and casual dinners. Upstairs, the bedrooms are calm and generous, each with leafy palm-print walls, deep wardrobes and its own modern ensuite with a glass-walled shower.

A balcony on the upper floor looks out over Seminyak’s tiled rooftops and coconut palms, a lovely spot for a morning coffee. Housekeeping, pool care and garden upkeep are part of the stay, and a floating breakfast, in-villa massage or private chef can be arranged. Seminyak Square, the area’s best cafés, restaurants and boutiques are close by, with the beach a short trip away.
