Villa Blue View Luxe crowns a forested hilltop above Bang Po, on Koh Samui’s peaceful north-west coast, and the first thing you notice on arrival is the view: a wide sweep of sea and islands on one side, green jungle hillside on the other. It is a modern, minimalist home of whitewashed walls, stone and glass, laid out over several levels so that each space feels open to the breeze. With five bedrooms, a spa room, a gym and a media room, it is a wonderful base for a large family or a group of friends who want everything at home.

The infinity pool is the centrepiece, a long sheet of blue that runs out towards the horizon, with a shallow zone for children that can be fenced on request. The lawn around it is set with daybeds and hammocks for lazy afternoons, and a poolside sala with a barbecue makes outdoor lunches easy. Late in the day, as the light softens over the water, the terrace is the best seat on this side of the island.

Inside, the open-sided living room has plush U-shaped sofas and a quiet workspace, while an enclosed media room offers a cool retreat for film nights. The dining table seats ten, and the kitchen is well equipped with a wine fridge, oven and coffee maker. There is a dedicated spa room with two massage beds, and a gym with a treadmill and table tennis. A villa manager, housekeeper and handyman look after the house, breakfast is included, and a private chef can be arranged for other meals.
