Villa Bougainvillea Samui

Villa Bougainvillea sits on its own fourteen-metre stretch of Mae Nam Beach, on Koh Samui’s calm north coast, in a small private estate of beachfront homes. A few steps down from the garden and you are on soft pale sand, with clear, gentle water in front and the hills of Koh Phangan across the bay. Palms shade the lawn, a wooden swing faces the sea, and the whole villa is on a single level, so it is relaxed and easy for families of all ages.

The layout makes the most of every metre. A sixteen-metre mosaic pool runs the length of the house and the garden, finished by a Thai sala with a canopy daybed and an outdoor table for eight looking out to sea. Under the main roof, a shaded terrace with lounge sofas and sun loungers links the garden to the living room, where soft sofas, a marble-topped table and a large TV sit beneath a high timber ceiling. The dining table seats eight against a bright feature wall, and the well-equipped kitchen has an oven, a dishwasher, a large fridge and a gas hob.

Four bedrooms each open straight onto the outdoor area through sliding doors. Three have king beds and one has twin beds, ideal for children, and every room has its own bathroom with an open-air shower, while the master adds a deep soaking tub. Daily breakfast is included, a dedicated team handles housekeeping and the garden, and airport transfers both ways are part of the stay. Mae Nam’s restaurants are close by, and Bophut and Fisherman’s Village are a short drive east.
