Villa Brandon

A fourteen-metre pool runs right through the middle of Villa Brandon, with every bedroom looking down onto it through tall walls of glass. It is a crisp, modern Jimbaran house of pale stone, warm oak and white render, set around an open courtyard of water and greenery, with a separate shallow pool for children alongside and a rooftop lounge where the sky turns pink at dusk.

The ground floor is made for easy group living. A sunken lounge with deep built-in seating opens to the poolside, the long timber dining table sits beside a sleek kitchen with a stone island, and an outdoor living room is tucked between the two pools. There is a sauna for slow afternoons, a ping pong table upstairs, and a large rooftop terrace with a curving rattan daybed for sunset drinks above the treetops.

Six bedrooms are spread across two floors, five with king beds and one twin room, each with its own bathroom and most with sculptural freestanding bathtubs and walk-in wardrobes. A villa manager and daily housekeeping keep things running, breakfast is included, and a chef can cook other meals at home. Jimbaran Bay, with its fish market and seafood dinners on the sand at sunset, is close by.
