Villa Bulan

Two carved stone guardians flank the gateway at Villa Bulan, and beyond them a garden path opens onto a broad lawn, sculpted shrubs and a turquoise pool framed by terracotta-roofed pavilions. It is a bright, cheerful three-bedroom home in Batu Belig, the quieter village between Seminyak and Canggu, and it suits families who want space to spread out without being far from the beach.

Each part of the house sits in its own pavilion around the pool and lawn. The living room has deep blue sofas, shelves of books and a TV lounge with a home theatre for movie nights, while the dining room seats eight at a long timber table beside a sleek, fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar. Outside, cushioned loungers line the pool, a thatched gazebo offers a shady spot to read or doze, and the lawn gives children room to run between swims.
