Villa Capucine 4

Villa Capucine 4 is the largest of three sister villas in a small, private collection set among the green hills above Kamala. It is a crisp, contemporary house of white walls, pale oak floors and floor-to-ceiling glass, brightened by bold botanical artworks and polished marble. From its raised position, the views roll out across forested slopes and the rooftops of the valley, and the beach is only a few minutes away, yet up here the mood is quiet and green.

The heart of the villa is its first-floor pool deck. An infinity pool with a glass edge looks straight out over the hills, sun loungers line the water, and beside it a sunken lounge with deep cushions sits under a modern canopy, the natural place to start the day with coffee or end it watching the sky change colour. Downstairs, a private lawn and planted garden courtyards add a softer, shadier side to the outdoor space. Inside, the open-plan living room has plush sofas, a ceiling fan and a smart television, flowing into a long dining table and a sleek kitchen with an island and breakfast seating.

All four bedrooms have king beds, televisions, air conditioning and their own bathrooms. Three sit on the ground floor, each opening onto a terrace or garden nook with rattan chairs, and the master suite has a floor of its own upstairs, with wraparound windows over the hills, a freestanding bathtub, a dramatic marble bathroom and a furnished balcony. Daily housekeeping and laundry are included, breakfast and airport transfers can be added, and a free shuttle runs guests down to Kamala Beach during the day.
