Villa Daun Tiga

A painted sign wrapped in tropical leaves spells out the name of Villa Daun Tiga, and it suits the place: inside, a long turquoise pool runs between a crisp white two-storey house and a border of palms, ferns and bougainvillea. This is a fresh, modern six-bedroom home in Pererenan, the calmer neighbour to Canggu, where rice fields still meet the cafés and Pererenan Beach is a short drive away.

The ground floor is one generous open-plan room. Terrazzo floors, warm downlighting and floor-to-ceiling glass give it a light, airy feel, and sliding doors pull back so the lounge, dining table and kitchen all open straight onto the pool deck.
