Villa Bogor

Step through the carved timber gateway of Villa Bogor and Canggu’s busy lanes fall away. Inside the walls lies a long, glittering pool, a lawn shaded by frangipani and palms, and a crisp white two-storey house with deep timber balconies. Beyond the garden, rice fields still stretch out towards the horizon, yet the beach at Nelayan is only a short walk away.

The eighteen-metre pool is the centrepiece, edged with striped loungers, blue parasols and a thatched daybed pavilion at one end. Indoors, the open-plan living room has high ceilings, wide sofas and glass doors that slide back to the terrace, and a long dining table seats all fourteen guests beneath a cluster of woven lanterns. A dedicated media room with deep red sofas, a billiard table and gym equipment mean rainy afternoons are well covered.

Six bedrooms come with their own bathrooms, five in the main house and one in a separate building across the garden, and one room has a loft bed above the double, ideal for children. A villa manager and team look after daily breakfast, housekeeping and security, with an arrival airport transfer included. Canggu’s cafes, boutiques and beach clubs are close by, and the villa makes an easy base for day trips to Ubud, Seminyak and Uluwatu.
