Villa Fallopia
Why We Recommend Villa Fallopia
Step through a carved timber doorway set in a bougainvillea-draped wall and Villa Fallopia unfolds as a stone path across a manicured lawn, leading to a cluster of hand-crafted Joglo pavilions. Steep tiled roofs, rich teak columns and soft lantern light give the whole place the feel of a private Javanese village, only a short ride from the buzz of Canggu.
The heart of the villa is a grand open pavilion under a soaring carved-wood ceiling, where a deep sunken sofa, a blue-baize billiard table and a long dining table for the whole group all share the same breezy space. A bar-style kitchen counter keeps the cook in the conversation, and the lawn rolls straight out to a long, glittering pool with a white-draped gazebo beside it, ideal for lazy afternoons with a book.
Three bedrooms sit in their own garden pavilions, each with a canopied bed wrapped in mosquito netting, big windows onto the greenery and an ensuite bathroom finished in stone and timber, one with a freestanding tub open to tropical planting. It is a calm, characterful base for a family or a small group of friends, with the cafés, surf beaches and restaurants of Canggu and Pererenan within easy reach.
