Set high on a Chaweng Noi hillside with unbroken views across the Gulf of Thailand to the silhouette of Koh Phangan, Villa Hin Butik is one of those rare properties where the architecture alone justifies the booking. Two soaring A-frame pavilions stand side by side on the slope, linked by shaded courtyards and lush gardens that make the estate feel like a pair of interconnected treehouses hovering above the bay. Four bedrooms sleep up to eight, with daily continental breakfast, return airport transfers and round-the-clock security all included.

The design leans hard on natural materials — exposed timber beams, raw stone walls, industrial-style floating staircases — for a grounded modernity, while double-height glass facades pull the ocean panorama deep into every room. The open ground floor of the main pavilion holds a fully equipped European kitchen with dark cabinetry and an island bench, a solid-timber table for eight and a sunken TV lounge, all opening through floor-to-ceiling sliders to the pool terrace — a layout that keeps everyone together without anyone feeling crowded.

Upstairs, the master is the centrepiece: a freestanding soaking tub set directly before a wall of glass framing the ocean, a detail returning guests call unforgettable. The other three bedrooms are equally considered, each with a king bed, en-suite, air conditioning and floor-to-ceiling windows onto sea or garden, and a covered rattan lounge between the pavilions makes the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a sundowner. Chaweng Noi is the quieter, more exclusive southern end of the east-coast strip — Chaweng’s restaurants and nightlife under ten minutes by car, yet the only sounds from the terrace birdsong and palm fronds — with Six Senses’ Dining on the Rocks on the same headland and Chaweng Noi Beach three kilometres downhill.
