Why We Recommend Villa Lilly Belle
Perched high in the Bophut hills with sweeping views across jungle canopy, rolling valleys, and the Gulf of Thailand, Villa Lilly Belle is one of Koh Samui’s most distinctive rental properties. The design blends bohemian flair with Balinese craftsmanship — think hand-woven tapestries, vibrant textiles, and open-air living spaces that feel more like a curated art retreat than a standard holiday villa. At $380 per night in low season, that’s just $95 per bedroom or under $48 per person for a group of eight, which represents outstanding value for a fully staffed hilltop property with an infinity pool and daily breakfast included.
The four ensuite bedrooms are spread thoughtfully across the property, with the master suite occupying its own private pavilion complete with ocean-view terrace — a genuine retreat within a retreat. A multilingual guest manager handles everything from airport transfers to restaurant bookings, and the daily continental breakfast means you can ease into each morning without lifting a finger. Even during peak season at $650 per night, the per-bedroom cost of $163 remains competitive for this level of privacy, design quality, and elevated hillside setting.
Our Favourite Features
- Panoramic infinity pool – The edge-free pool appears to merge with the valley and ocean beyond, creating a genuinely dramatic swimming experience that most beachside villas simply cannot match.
- Bohemian-Balinese interiors – Every room is filled with handcrafted details, from intricate wood carvings to colourful textiles and artful decor, giving the villa a character and warmth that cookie-cutter resorts lack entirely.
- Separate master pavilion – The master bedroom sits in its own standalone structure with a private terrace overlooking the ocean, offering a level of seclusion that couples travelling with friends or family will genuinely appreciate.
- Multilingual guest manager – Fluent in English, French, and Chinese, the on-site manager coordinates everything from dinner reservations to island excursions, making language barriers a non-issue for international visitors.
- Flexible 2 or 4 bedroom booking – Smaller groups can book just two bedrooms at a reduced rate, with unused rooms locked off, so you only pay for the space you actually need.
Good To Know
- Hilltop access road – The villa’s elevated position means a steep approach road. The views are the payoff, but guests who prefer flat, walk-everywhere convenience should factor this in. A rental car or scooter is recommended.
- Breakfast included, other meals extra – Daily continental breakfast is complimentary. A private chef can prepare lunch and dinner, but groceries plus a 1,000 THB cooking fee per meal apply. Budget roughly 800–1,500 THB per person for a chef-prepared dinner.
- Fisherman’s Village nearby – Bophut’s famous Fisherman’s Village is roughly a 10-minute drive downhill, offering night markets every Friday, waterfront restaurants, and boutique shopping without the crowds of Chaweng.
- Nearby construction – There is currently building work in the surrounding area that may produce daytime noise. The management team is transparent about this and has offered discounted rates to compensate.
- Airport transfers not included – Koh Samui Airport is approximately 6 kilometres away (around 15 minutes by car). Transfers can be arranged through the guest manager at an additional charge.
