Villa Kyra

Villa Kyra stands right on the sand at Midigama, on the south coast just west of Weligama, with the Indian Ocean in view from the terrace, the living rooms and several of the bedrooms. It is a calm, contemporary home of warm timber, pale stone and tall glass doors, one of a small row of six beachfront villas, and it pairs a design-led setting with relaxed, attentive service. Four king suites make it a lovely fit for families or friends who want direct beach access and plenty of privacy.

The terrace leads straight to the beach, with a private infinity pool facing the ocean and a thatched cabana for shade and lazy afternoons. Sun loungers and an outdoor dining table sit between the pool and the living room, so meals outdoors come with a view of the waves. A planted courtyard sits at the heart of the house, bringing light and greenery into the spaces between the rooms.

Inside, the open-plan living and dining area flows into a fully equipped kitchen, with large windows framing the sea and comfortable sofas for slow evenings. Each of the four bedrooms has a king-size bed, air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom, and some open onto balconies with ocean views. There is an in-villa sauna, and daily breakfast, housekeeping and a personal guest assistant are included, with a private chef for other meals.
